Good Morning Every Beloved Young and Old

Just when my previous post commented on how impossible morning blogging is nowadays, here I am, blogging away after finishing my apple struden (or however it spelt) and sipping away at my morning coffee. Nevertheless, such a luxury has been only made possible by working OT yesterday.

Yesterday was a snapless day. Rightly though, loO decided to be filial after being otherwise all his life (just jk don't take it too personal plse). With also my dear having other committments, I decided to spend monday alone and not go around snapping ppl - it's kinda irritating isn't it, when you get snapped either you agree or you've to give some excuse. I spent an extra hour in my office working for free. Many people would chide me for being so dumb. Who in the world works for free!? Well, I prefer to see it in another way. Since I'd the luxury of time, I can put in a little more work so I can have an easier day today. Something intangible that people don't see is this - oh by the way I was the last one to leave office - it leaves a lasting impression on people, whether conscious or not, that at least I am, if not very efficient and smart, hardworking. It doesn't really matter how fast you finish work at your desk, because people who gives you work don't realize you're doing it very fast. But I guess it does matters when you're a temp staff and you're working till everyone, including every single perm staff is gone. It makes a hell lot of difference.

Well anyway, after work I went borders to freeload some books. I've decided that since I can read books there - of course at a little expense of time - why buy them? I mean people read most books once. So unless you want to play it like sHiao who shares his booklist with everyone, it's quite meaningless owning so many books yourself! And I can see the idea falls pretty well among many others, especially the working class. Think of it, say you're a slow reader. You spend an hr or so everyday after work at borders. You can finish a book in a week, 4 in a month, and 52 in a year! An hr isn't really a lot, is it? And say another person, who reads the same books as you, with books costing say 17 each...you would be almost 900 bucks richer than him/her!!

Oh sharks! Why do I end up counting everything in monetary terms?
