Nowadays, they are really strict on camera handphones in camp. All thanks to a few monkeys who used their camera handphone to film themselves fooling around with rifles and blanks. Gosh, black sheep causes the entire organisation to suffer. They are imposing such strict bans on camera handphones. Monday entering here, i'd a really terrible shock. The security checks was so stringent that i didn't want to try my luck. Thankfully, i brought 2 phones so while i surrendered one i still managed to keep in touch with the outside world. Damn. If only my N2650 didn't commit suicide, i wouldn't have such problems at all.

2 extremely busy and hectic days.

Yesterday we hosted a 4-star general from Star light (ROC) (Tai wan). As usual i did my usual stuff even though now it isn't within my job scope. Reason being is there isn't enough people in the section which is supposed to do visits to take over my job. So well my guess is i'll still do until i ORD. Haha...

Did a utmost incredible and crazy thing. After those visitors left the briefing room i actually managed to steal some sleep there and then. The few of us are kind of done with our part already so we decided to nap. And one by one they woke up and left. Only piggy lazzy me slpt for 2hrs! Until lunchtime was nearly over. And the most scary thing was when i woke up i realised the door wasn't locked. Imagine one of the visitors left something behind and came back to fetch it. Tada! I would probably have my names on the list to charge or i would be serving some extra duty as guard com probably. Hahaha..

Busy busy. Work nowadays doesn't allow me to even nick some time and send a msg. It's really crazy crazy work n work. It's not like u sit at ur desk n work non-stop. You've got a thousand things to organise, and me being in charge of a section you probably can add a thousand more. Now we're approaching the visit season meaning more work for me! Woohoo.. But busy doesn't mean i'm beaten. The work here doesn't really take alot out of me, except drain my energy. I mean it's not damn difficult just damn troublesome and leh chey. Haha.. I would extend if they can pay me over a thousand for regular 3sg. But i heard we'll just get what we have now. Whats the point? I would rather go out and work myself dead. I can get at least a thousand, and a good social life. =) Weigh it. No need.

Went to changi V to makan after work today. Was quite a cohesion thing to do. Quite fun. Ipoh hor fun doesn't live up to expectations. Strolled back to the jetty which is about 5 bus stops away by the changi beach. Cool. We even had time to stop and "romantic" awhile. Haha.. Interesting.

They're making us stay-in. This is crap. They're giving us crap bunks. They're taking back our cosy little room upstairs. They're taking away the one thing that makes ns life so stayinable. Damn. They're stupid old officers who wants a hand in everything. They should just mind their own business. We can screw them up. If we want. But i don't want. I just wanna serve and FO (fall out). I'm gonna ORD soon anyway. At least better than alot of khakis here. Muahaha..

Oh, soccer's off this sat. But which guy can read my blog on weekdays. Oh actually quite alot cos alot of ppl off this week. Joel is off whole wk. Mandos off from thurs onwards. Uni grls having hols. Mm... You guys and grls can meet up! Haha.. Ok sorry i didn't think before saying that. Paiseh.

I realise unknowingly we've just turned grown-ups. Freaking fast.

It feels a little comforting to know that my so seldomly updated blog still has its visitors. Blogging from camp right now. Anyway everyday is in camp now. The same old shit with the roll call and first parade. Well well, and work committments is rather heavy. Can't really afford to come to work everyday very sleepy and blur. I mean now i've a whole section under me, though my section only consists of 5 ppl. But still, men under me it's a different matter. U ain't urself like last time. U can't do certain things, can't appear too slack, and can't dunno everything. Thankfully i'm quite lao jiao b4 this merger thingy, else i would be so noob to this office environment and kena bullied by them. Today there's a coord mtg, and after that i'd some more additional job scopes. Great. I love mtgs, cos they show how much admin lapse there is around and how much stuff people didn't realise nobody is doing. So they throw everything to my section. And being the IC i gotta do quite a big part of it. Certain things, i just can't trust my men to go do it. So i'll do the hard work and they take the simple ones like despatch and routine stuff. But honestly i guess i learnt quite alot during my 1-yr plus stay in HQ. It's kinda a consolation, that u don't have to go and chiong sua like what all guys supposed to do and u still can learn something. But still, 10pm and i'm still doing work, that doesn't reflect a very healthy situation.

Enough of crap complaints. I realise i always have a part like a paragraph or something in my posts to complain. Typical S'porean. I have to.

Updates on my life. Went for Terryfox Run For Hope @ Sentosa last Saturday. I realise i'm starting to like this kinda things, i mean, you get to keep fit, do charity and have fun @ the same time, not mentioning the thrill of running in Sentosa. Did the 9km run but it didn't seem like 9km. Quite proud of myself actually. I still remember OBS the 9km run where i slacked so much, and came in one of the last. This time round, i managed to shave about 20mins off that timing, and really felt as if i put it the effort. Really satisfied. =D I really would like to go for this kind of things more often, of course in a group, cos thats where most of the fun comes from. My fren drove us to Thomsom for prata. First time i'm eating @ teh famous prata shop, and i think it really deserved its name. Damn nice. Wonder if you guys tried it already. It totally beats those in Bkt Timah! And that cheese prata shop @ Kent Ridge. Haha...

Monday was an off day. Claimed it from AHM. The rules here are damn strict. Off is like the hardest thing you can want. I mean i've heard of people helping this officer than they're given like halfday off and stuff. But it'll never happen here! Lol... But i'm already used to it. So well have to clear my off anyway so took it. Unfortunately, the weather didn't permit me to carry out some of our plans. Guess just have to make do with what we have.

Buffets are crap. I mean you have to force yourself to stuff down more food than you can actually take. Then you gorge and gorge and suddenly the feeling hits you. You feel terrible bloated and didn't feel like doing anything in the world. Then you get this hicupping shit that totally embarrasses you cos it's so damn loud, i wonder if that's any link to the food. But still, it's quite a luxury once in awhile to indulge, and the freedom to take anything you want is quite a shiok feeling! Ahahaha...

Enough for now, ciaos guys. Lights off soon. Hahaha.. Time to snuggle into my sleeping bag.

Marcos Hernandez - The Way I Do

Your kiss, your smile, your mind
You're sunlight in my eyes
I miss your breath on my neck
When we whisper in the night

Didn't wanna want you
Didn't wanna need you so bad
Didn't wanna wake up
And find that I was falling so fast
Didn't wanna need you
Didn't wanna need anyone
Now look what you've done

Now I can't go on without you
I'm naked, I cant fake it.
I'm not that strong without you
Never thought I could love you the way I do.

Your touch, your skin, can't believe the way you let me in
Don't rush tonight, I need you like the ocean needs the tide.

Didn't wanna want you
Didn't wanna need you so bad
Didn't wanna wake up
And find that I was falling so fast
Didn't wanna need you
Didn't wanna need anyone
Now look what you've done

Now I can't go on without you
I'm naked, I cant fake it.
I'm not that strong without you
Never thought I could love you the way I do.

I always thought I would stand on my own
Climb a mountain top all alone
Relying, depending on no one
Now look at what you've done

Now I can't go on without you
I'm naked, I cant fake it.
I'm not that strong without you
Never thought I could love you the way I do.

Never thought I could love you
Never thought I could need you
Never thought I could want you
The way I do

Never thought I could love you
Never thought I could need you
Never thought I could want you
The way I do

I love you
I need you
I want you
..the way I do

I love you
I need you
I want you
..the way I do

1.58am on the clock now. In camp. Blogging in the dark. Just some random thoughts and happenings.

They wanna take back our "bunk". It's that little room upstairs that we slp in n watch tv in. And they wanna take it away, give us really terrible real bunks. Staying in won't be so fun anymore.

I hate officers. They are either just damn good wayangs or very good academically or just damn good jokers. They go through bmt same as us. But once they put on their chocolate bar they're transformed. Actually no. It's from the moment they put on that white shirt n black pants and step into safti. They're just some age guys who performed well enough to be recognised and taken to become officers. So the rank gives them the right to give extra, to knock us down, to take away everything that makes us frens in the first place. They've always that extra own principle that makes them think they're always right. And all the rest are just lowly creatures that they can will with ease.

Crap.

I dunno why i'm bullshitting now. I'm in a total crap mood now. Crap mood for nothing. And blogging is like the only thing that keeps my mind off things. Cos i've to think what to write and write it out so at least distract me a little. Crap mood for nothing. Nothing. Not even slping. I really should be slping since i'm the only one awake in this whole building. But crap. Just crappy mood to write anything decent anyway.

Ok try to be decent. Monday's are such lousy days. I've never experienced Monday blues when i was in school, cos sch's not exactly the thing that i would loathe. But now i hate my work. There's no meaning in this place of mine. I hate doing all the routine paperworks. I hate the naggings from the in-charges.

So tired today i came work and attended roll call as usual. By the way roll call is such a dumb thing but yeah shan't come to that. After that i went up to my "bunk" and slpt till like 940! I was like omg shit so late. And thinking of all kinds of ways to enter my office. After work i just went up and slpt again. Until dinner time they tried to wake me for dinner but i didn't seem to budge. So they decided to go w/o me.

Ok i'm really typing a huge chunk of junk here. I was thinking what if later on the webpage hangs again like last time. I would lose all this. And reproducing something u wrote out of impromptu and impulse isn't exactly the easiest thing to do.

You know some people in the world are just so loathesome.

I realised just like love, hate is something you can grow. Just like you can learn more and love someone more, you can do the exact same thing for hate. Hatred is somewhat of a self-fulfilling thing. You hate the person, everything the person does seems worse than last time - you hate the person more! Simple as that.

You know, sometimes won't u just wish that life could be relived again. There's so much imperfections that ur life is right now. Things that could be changed if u haven made a so and so decision then. Or rather if u'd made a so and so decision. Life is full of regrets. Whose life isn't? Just that some regrets you're made to live with it, and it's everpresent. You just can't shake it off can you. You get a break, and you think it's permanent. And when it comes back, you're back to square one.

I just found out that forgiveness is a virtue, or rather just acknowledged the fact. And i know i'm quite lacking it.

Just gotten my hotmail account back on track. The tech support people are quite nice and efficient. But not much difference also. I don't talk as much to the people i used to talk with. MSN got not much appeal already. I'm beginning to isolate myself. Only few can relate to me nowadays.

Enough of crap posts. Crap blogs. Time to lie down. Close your eyes. Make urself fall asleep.

Yesterday n today were POP days for the recruits in my camp. Quite frankly, army guys are totally desperate. Once they know of like events like POP involving parents (and of course girls - gfs or sisters of the recruits), they are sure to "show support". So the past 2 afternoons my office had been really empty cos all of them went to watch the recruits pass out, when in fact all they do is oogle at the girls there. Haaha how desperate. But i've to agree that girls attending such army stuffs tend to dress quite nicely. Oh shit, how did i know? Alright, the fact is i did look at those girls, but the real truth is i'm standing there collecting feedback forms from every single one of them. Imagine this, there are the recruits having just POP-ed and making their way to the ferry with their parents, and there's me, a 3SG standing there, holding a box that says "thank you for your feedback and have a nice day", waiting for them to pass by and drop their forms as if i'm begging for a donation. How stupid i looked! And i actually stood there for about 2hrs, it's like doing ushering just that you are more stupid-looking and at times became like jokes between the recruits and their parents/gfs. Just when you think the situation couldn't be worse, you find that i'm actually doing all this crap after office hrs! Omg.. Thats like a terrible waste of my admin time! Sigh.. You know, my training officer a LTC walked past me and asked why didn't we just leave the box somewhere. And crap thats like what i thought when the task been given to me. Guess i just dint want to sound rebellious and questioning authority, and being a spec doesn't give u much priviledge. So yah..

Anyway, watching the recruits go through POP makes me think of trainee days. You know, i don't mind being a trainee the whole of my ns life, if the SAF decides to pay me my spec pay i'm drawing now. Firstly, trainee life is so free of responsibilities. All you has to do be an obedient soldier, listen to instructions and do your part, and perhaps a little more and you're like super outstanding already. You don't have to plan anything - you have your training schedule planned for you, perhaps maybe plan the attack with your section. Basically there isn't much ownership of anything except yourself.

I just typed a whole big chunk of stuff below this. But the darn net hung on me. This is all i recovered. Freak.

A busy day @ work. But nevertheless it was still one of the less hectic days to me. Ever since the merger of our MP branches with the Schs MP br, it has only mean more work for me and less for those men of mine. Haiz... everyday all i see they do is freaking despatch. As if it's that difficult to send a piece of paper. While i've to like do RO. I can't over emphasize how stressed it is cos the entire bmtc is reading the RO that i write. Any mistake and the next day my email gets bombarded with criticisms and such, telling me this n that. Why not someone try doing my work? I've so much misc work that i don't even have time to do what i'm there for, my own work. Then boss comes up with some stunt someday and say ok do movement chart. Who do? Registry. Easy isn't it to say? Do this do that. Bosses don't think when they give arrows. Same for officers. Just having gone ocs, officers are that different. Well i guess ocs probably has some course on art of delegation, else what explains the abilities of all officers to shoot us with this n that without a slight thought? Some1 ask him to do something. He thinks he's too highly for that. He asks u to do it. Well simple isn't it?

I'm ranting. I'm dying. I've never done so much work in my life. Even when i'm mugging for exams my work don't come so fast and hectic. Crazy life in HQ.No wonder some say people come out of HQ stronger.

Old people are hypocrites. I think that's probably something we'll all learn about next time. When we step into the coporate world. The whole world is just one big back stab. U think people are frens but he just turns around n bs u in front of boss, claim some credit u derserved. Take notice man, old people are just so grilled in the art of living that they are able to make it part and parcel of their lives. Almost everything they say just have a hidden meaning. Or hidden effect. Damn.

I want to O-R-D!
