Happy Labour Day!
It's been so long since I touched blogger. Everyday, I see interesting stuffs that I want to share or thoughts I want to pen down, but it seems everytime I try to sit down in front of my computer, I get distracted and instead of being able to blog, I ended up puttin off my posts, till a point I don't remember what to blog.
Last MondayMJ, Biao, CJ, Jac and I snapped for dinner. At the plaza food court, MJ did a solo of what he's best at - high-pitched gay singing.
Apologises for not taking the video upright. You just have to tilt your monitor to the right to view =D
SaturdayThe same group minus the lady had a shopping day out! Technically, it was more of a going-around-looking-for-something than shopping. We went town, then queensway and finally vivo. The day was not so much interesting. However, I had 2 laksas that day, for lunch and dinner part 1, which sadly, wasn't up to the standards I expected. Part 2 dinner was unplanned for. We started at kopitiam at vivo then realized we weren't so hungry after all - due to the laksa previously. We decided to eat simple bread and coffee and eggs, which they lazily decided not to prepare for us. So we went to....
Toastbox!
Doesn't it just look divine!? I've always loved bread. All kinds of bread, but especially plain bread with butter/margarine or peanut better or any sort of toppings, ate to the toaster! It's tender and crispy at the same time, with fillings of sambal dried shrimps, milo, peanut butter, pork floss and simple butter and sugar fulfilling your desires for taste. The coffee is fine, not exceptionally fragrant but still thick enough to satisfy my tastebuds. The eggs are deceivingly small, but when cracked they looked overwhelming.
Overall, it's a splendid place. The prices, though fairly steep, is still understandable. The tables and benches are as retro as they can, giving the whole place a run-down '60s look. Had it not been a weekend, it would be a sweet chill-out spot for friends and all.
