Recalling something Mr. Ong brought up some weeks ago -
social responsibility. Imagine you just witnessed someone climbing into a house in your neighbourhood, what would you do? Would you put away whatever you're doing at that instance and just dial the police immediately? Or would you pretend that you didn't see anything? You might be thinking:
Can it be the owner of the house who forgotten his keys? Anyway since i don't even know the owner of the house, why take the trouble to do so? What if i made a false report?
The actual topic concerned was the stealing of valuables in school. Many of us, including myself, actually leaves our bags at the cafe during lesson times, bringing only the required stuff. Therefore, we are under threat of theft. Imagine the thief steals in broad daylight, yet no one was willing to report the incident as it was simply "none of their business". Besides, this reporting has often been deemed as a betrayal to a fellow schoolmate.
With references to all possible situations, no one can, honestly and truthfully say that they have this social responsibility...
Feeling so cheated. All along many has heard of his story and shown sympathy. Yet the most experienced of all has refused to lend a helping hand. While the others has fretted over his problem, trying their very best to give assistance or advice, the one simply ignores it.
Well not everyone is as smart as you. Not everyone has that common sense that you had, satisfied? Now that everything has come to a close, can't help but feel sorry for him. He was so close. So so close. Everything he tried, but he failed. One man's food is another man's poison. Wished that time could turn back, things could be changed. Perhaps then the 'poison' can belong to the right man...
