TEAM SAJC ROX
All right man our soccer finally won, after hard fought battle full of determination, work rate and plenty of neat and slick passing and merciless finishes. Yesterday at CCAB, our school witnessed the first time when our soccer team just couldn't play. The opponent MJC was just too strong for us. For a new team with this only their second year, it has been a remarkable achievement. After seeing our team going through a virtual winning streak through the two group stages to reach the semi's, expectations were naturally high, and against a new opponent whom we beat last year, things were looking pretty good for us.

Once the match started it proved to be a entirely different story. MJC totally dominated the game with their one-touch passing and shielding of the ball. Our posession was so little that even the firmest optimist would bow his head and pray. Yet deep down our hearts, we were hoping that SA's cannot-play-well-but-still-can-score policy can work. Indeed not long after, SA hit the back of their net, sadly an offside was awarded. The immediate counterattack caught us napping and won them a goal. Soon their strikers' speed began to expose our defenders and very soon we were two-nil down. A team who have won all their 6 group games suddenly conceded two in a half, the most in a match they had ever in this competition. All was thought to be lost...

The most interesting part came when it was half-time, the part i was extremely attracted to. Unfortunately, this team talk is never open to public. Incredibly, this team talk is what pivoted the match towards SA. Nothing was known, yet the players came out with great spirit, supporters were spurred and signs of the saints spirit was imminent. The most common and obvious tactic was employed, but there was nothing that MJC could do to stop that. An early goal stunned them, disrupted their play and suddenly all is well for us. The supporters cheered their lungs out and voices hoarse and the players fought their hearts out in return. Even luck wasn't on our side, with several goals disallowed, we still managed to overcome the deficit. Go SAINTS!!

Silent All These Years

Excuse me but can I be you for a while
My dog won't bite if you sit real still
I got the Anti-Christ in the kitchen yellin' at me again
Yeah I can hear that

Been saved again by the garbage truck
I got something to say you know but nothing comes
Yes I know what you think of me you never shut up
Yeah I can hear that

But what if I'm a mermaid
In these jeans of his with her name still on it
Hey but I don't care
Cause sometimes I said sometimes I hear my voice and it's been
here
silent all these years

So you found a girl who thinks really deep thoughts
What's so amazing about really deep thoughts
Boy you best pray that I bleed real soon
How's that thought for you

My scream got lost in a paper cup
You think there's a heaven where some screams have gone
I got 25 bucks and a cracker do you think it's enough
To get us there

But what if I'm a mermaid
In these jeans of his with her name still on it
Hey but I don't care
Cause sometimes
I said sometimes
I hear my voice and it's been
here
silent all these..

Years go by will I still be waiting
For somebody else to understand
Years go by if I'm stripped of my beauty
And the orange clouds raining in my head
Years go by will I choke on my tears
Till finally there is nothing left
One more casualty
You know we're too
easy
easy
easy

Well I love the way we communicate
Your eyes focus on my funny lip shape
Let's hear what you think of me now
but baby don't look up
The sky is falling

Your mother shows up in a nasty dress
It's your turn now to stand where I stand
Everybody lookin' at you
here take hold of my hand
Yeah I can hear them

But what if I'm a mermaid
In these jeans of his with her name still on it
Hey but I don't care
Cause sometimes
I said sometimes I hear my voice
I hear my voice
I hear my voice
And it's been
here
silent all these years
I've been here
silent all these years
Silent all these
Silent all these
years
