Bang!
This morning, as I was transiting betw the NE line and the WE line, I saw a rather scary situation. Everyone, since exiting the train, was rushing for the escalator. More ppl than i'd ever seen took the stairs, in their bid for time. Then, many ppl walked as if they were in the competitive Big Walk or something. As I was nearing the WE line escalator, the 1 MIN arrival time turned into ARRIVED as many ppl picked up speed and some even ran. This despite the next train was only 2mins away. Many of these ppl are working, but several, i'd assumed, are rushing to uni. Every one of them, after their wipe sweat drink water and fiddle around, actually took out their readings and started mugging away. So much is their quest for time that they can't even use a few mins of waiting time or let go a few mins of shut-eye time. It makes me extremely frightened to think of what lies ahead of me and all the guys, whose only memory of school life is probably our dear old SAJC canteen and the first and last few mins of every lesson.
